it really doesn't matter how he told you -- you should sort of be happy that he told you at all, he's not required to check in with you.
don't be upset that he went to the party either, let him live his own life and do his own things.. and you should do the same.
as far as the calling you a "freaky" thing.. i don't even know what that means, so i'm not sure if it's bad or good...

I am so confused. I think it's ok that your boy friend went to a party as long as he didn't so anything there is nothing to worry about

well I would first ask him why he called you freaky..
And remember men need there space just like a female does..If you try and stop him from going to the party you might lose him..
