It means to Speacilize in wild dogs. Which should live free like Bears, lions, and other dangerous animals which people let live in their natural surrondings, but not wolves. Why must people be so seletive?

"Important" is kind of a relative term since what is important to one person is NOT important to another. However, this is one of those cases where it sounds like someone is making up a long name for something that could be better described in easier terms such as "Wild Dog Specialist" even "Undomesticated Canine Specialist" seems a tad shorter. Unless I were specifically looking for a veterinarian that specialized in wild canines, I might actually miss the fact that a person with this title is a Veterinarian/Doctor! The term "veterinarian" alone is important to me! Yet my pup and my 15 y/o cat have seen a lot of specialists in their short lives, so I know it IS important to have subspecialties as well.

Bottom line. Be happy. If it works for you and gets the point across, then that's your answer

Sounds poor since there is nobody to pay the bills for an undomesticated Canine.
Are you talking about specializing in wolves or trying to free the dogs (who would not thank you for being freed).

Not really, for me it just sounds like someone who works with wild dogs but doesn't want the title "Wild Dog Carer" so thought of something else that sounded like they were trying to make it sound smart. Lol.

Dogs have been domesticated for thousands of years. The only thing selective is the breeding stock chosen to create a new type of dog.

Does it matter whether it sounds important or not? Why should you care? The point is that whomever is undergoing this job is doing something good for the animals.

Not really. It is like calling a garbage man a sanitation specialist. Just big words that mean nothing.
