No. It stays there until it grows out. It will fade as you wash and morph into other colors. You can cover it with something else. It's there until you cut it. If you do cover it with another color, be careful not to fry your hair. Some hair can handle more than others. I have turned around and colored my hair out of a box again the very next day and my hair was fine, but I have really oily thick hair and it was short at the time. The best thing to do is go to a good salon if you can afford it. They take 911 appointments all the time. Again... you cannot get it out.. only recolor it lighter (by lifting color) or darker (by depositing color) but you cannot get it out. It has already deposited or lifted the color.

I'm in a similar situation. i went "Angela Chase red" a while back, but now i miss being a blonde. But waiting for natural roots to grow in takes FOREVER, especially if you're not willing to shave your head or cut your hair really short. So i guess the best thing to do would be to try to find a Salon that could strip the color out, but it would most likely make it white blonde and you'd have to dye your hair back to your natural color. If you do that, though, it would probably be best to use a deep conditioner or Pantene or something a few days before you go in, then go a couple of days without washing your hair and then deep condition again the next day, for minimal damage to your hair.

Wow! You poor thing...you must be really confused now! I'm a stylist and can tell you that it can be removed. The most important thing is for you to find the proper stylist. This is a very structured process and it takes time and patience on the stylists' part. You want to ask her if she will be doing all the work on you. and devoting all her time to you. You will pay dearly for that time, but its well worth it.
Next, you need to find out what product the stylist is going to be using on you. A high-end color remover is what needs to be used. The better removers aren't going to leave your hair as damaged and dry looking as the cheaper ones. You need to make a point of making sure the stylist is not using bleach on your hair...that will not be good,(unless you want a bleach weave). Then all she needs to do is lift it enough to be able to put on a dark brown. The less time she leaves the remover on the better, but it has to lift enough. Go over that point with her and if she doesn't seem to be aware of that then ....run out the door! Most stylist with experience know that they don't have to lift it that much if you only want a dark brown color over it.
Your hair is not going to hold the color well and is going to feel different than it does now. I would encourage you to purchase some very good hair care products and try not to blow dry or iron you hair so much. Do some deep heating treatments ...with top of the line treatments ( ask to see them) I use three different types and have my own formula for this. You should hear names like Matrix, redkin, Joico, Aveda, P.M., etc, etc, I think you know what I mean. Anyway, email me if you have any further questions...good luck and God bless. And next time let a professional do it! lol

Well, live & learn~ Hard one to learn tho'~Do not go to a salon & Say "strip it"...you will need a re-dye to your natural color, etc. Stripping is essentially taking away EVERYTHING from your hair...My suggestion is to get another dye (yes it may be permanent) close to your natural hair, same brand name & CONDITION the heck out of it! As your hair grows out as long as you don't go too light it will fade back to our natural color~ Been there done, Done that! Good Luck! P>S>Don't Condition too much before you dye your hair! After! FYI

There is no way to get it OUT. The dye will fade over time, but if you're looking for a faster solution, get to a salon. They can go over different options with you. Most likely, you'll have to either dye it or highlight it.

Yes you can but it costs a lot. Stylists can take away color from your hair (called extraction), it's a very harsh chemical process for your hair, they use it mainly for those orangey-colors. Dark colors have a lot of dye that deposits in the hair, and I would say it's going to be a hard thing to do. I bet they can help you, but anyway, as you wash it, it will keep on fading away.

ok, totally been there....it is possible to bleach/strip it...i have done it myself and its rough, blue black is one of the hardest colors to remove... you cant just dye over it, cause there is little red if any, and no yellow like in reg dyes...
you'd be best off going to a salon, though they mite make you sign a waiver for if your hair gets fried, thats what they told me, but i wanted to go platinum blonde...
and just remember next time to search for permanent or level 3 on the box before you buy!

no there isnt! SRY! but you can try to fade the color. try washing it a LOT LOT LOT many times a day but make sure that you use conditioner as well because washing your hair strips it of the nutrients and fibers that help hair grow healthy. and im sure that dying it in the 1st place wasnt very good for it in the 1st place. so try that! hope this helps!

YES! I know with a 100% the salon can get it out. As long as you have a pro that knows what he or she is doing. Good luck.
