the guy i like has a group of friends that are totally different then my friends. how do i go up and talk to him?

he is probably scared to death of you... guys run in packs when they are scared.
but if you flirt with him in front of his friends you will not get a good reaction because he has to act all cool... but secretly, he'll be really happy because all of his friends got to see you come up to HIM instead of them....

start on a more one on one level so your friends dont have to be involved right away. after you two know eachother well enough then it will be easier to transition yourself and your friends into meeting his friends.
