I found a couple of users who were answering some of the questions posted here... and it said that the concept of love is exclusively christian. I too was a bit moved. More like shocked. PS: I'm a strong atheist.

I think I'm geting the picture... some of the christian faith have said that because they confuse love of god with the ability to love. PS: spelled god and christian with small letters. Hope you understand and learn to accept.

Any one who calls himself a Christian and says an Atheist can not love needs to reset his logic-meter.
Atheists can love. BUT - the love of God is not in him. Understand the difference? If you do not believe in God, how could you possibly love him? Kapeesh?
I supposed the name of God is cursed all day long by many atheists because of foolish people who call themselves Christians, going beyond personal spiritual rights and beliefs to dictating how others feel.
I might believe you are going to suffer for not turning to God, and thats my belief and within that state of logic. But if I say you are incapable of love - then I have stepped beyond my spiritual / religious boundary regarding your abilities. And that is just plain wrong.
I hope you do find God through his Son, Jesus. But until then, realize not everyone who calls himself a Christian is a Christian and there are different belief systems (sects / denominational beliefs) in the world of Christianity.
Today the term Christian seems more of a bi-word and I hesitate using it because chiefly - anymore, when the majority of people hear the word, "Christian" they automatically start stereo typing and even generalize us all as a Roman Catholic type religion. And thats not the case.
However you chose to go - I cant make you go my way. Thats entirely up to you and your need to find God. If you feel no need, I cant make you desire him.

hmm i dont believe that at all. i dont know any who say that. . i believe they dont love God. if that is what you refer too? i mean they dont believe in God so how can they love God then?
and are they really christians who said that? i mean more and more people are out to get christians and make us look bad. i have a co-worker who does not even believe in God and he does not like gay people. he protests all the time and his sign says God hates gays. hmmm?
and that is not speaking for all christians. that is like me saying i feel atheist hate and dont love because a couple atheist have posted mean things about christians. not all are like that. or believe like that. just as well as you know that not all atheist are nice people. and not all christians are nice either. some say they are christian but how are they acting? the Bible says as a christian we are of this world but to not be of the world. we live here however we are not to give in to the worldy things. ie getting drunk. playing violent video games. so.

I don't know. When I was Catholic, I was afraid of being in love, but now, I'd die for my somebody. I just see love in blood red instead of rose, because I know there's no god that I used to hope would keep everything happy. Now that I realize that's not true, I understand the pain involved with love and I deal with it because it's worth it.

I know a few Christians that are like that, they're biased and think they're better than us because they have the "love of God", which somehow enhances their ability to love. For the love of God, they should get over themselves.

Who said that? Atheists are people like anyone else. They just don't believe in God.

i'm sorry you got the wrong impression, i'm a christian and i'm pretty sure that ALL people love something or someone even if it's just themselves! God gave us that emotion.... we love because He loved us first.
