i believe it is neither. i think you will know how much your dog needs to be walked. small dogs "need" to be walked less than bigger dogs, though walking them as much as one would walk a great dane is no problem at all! its fantastic for your dogs health both mentally and physically!
you will find that you have a very happy, healthy dog who will tend to bark less and destroy household items less because he is not bored. good for you for being such a fantastic dog parent!

I let my dogs decide how long we walk in the evenings. I take them to a local park and we keep going until they are tired. I only live a block off of the park.
Other than that, they get thier normal morning, lunch and evening walks, and potty breaks. It all depends on the dog, they will let you know how much is too much, and how much is not enough. The Jogging will definately help with the hyper. One of my dogs' play buddies is a Corgi, and he can jump and lick my face when I am standing up; that is nearly a six foot jump, and that is from a sitting possition. He has taken me down before when he has seen me from across the park. Like a missle hitting me in the chest. He hit me, I dropped, and was at once pilled on by all the dogs. I think I gor puppy kisses just about every part of my body that day.

sounds perfect for a energetic dog, but if he is not so energetic it might be too much.
He is kinda little with little legs so you jogging is like him running a marathon, keep the jogging to a min.
