lift weights, eat alot of protein, eat 6 small meals a day, drink alot of water, warm up and cool down after lifting, getting proper sleep, getting proper muscle rest. If you want mass you want to do fewer reps at higher weight. lift as much as you can so that you can do exactly 6-8 reps, no more, no less. For pure mass Id lean more towards 6 reps, and remember if you are first starting to lift you can see great increases very quickly. When I first started lifting I noticed visible differences in about a week and doubled my strength on many exercises in about a month and Im a naturally strong guy to begin with.
Oh and although supplements might help Im not a firm believer on them. I take none, except a multi daily vitamin which gives me energy, and Im fine with results. Also lift free weights, bowflex and similar machines suck. Dumbbells also are better than barbells. Other than using machines for obvious exercises I ONlY use dumbbells they give you much more strength and focus on individual muscles much better.

there is only so much hypertrophy that can take place in a give amount of time.
you need to drastically increase your caloric intake but only to a certain point. once the body is in a anabolic state gains in lean body mass will continue to a point where a increase in body fat is equivalant to that of lean body mass.
the easiest way to do this is to start counting calories. once you "know" how much you are actually eating it is so much easier to gain and lose weight.
depending on your body composition you could increase cals to that of double your body weight. so if you weight 160 lbs you would want to ingest 3200 calories a day. using macros of 40/40/20. which is 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats.
