Several soldiers have inquired about our contractor jobs and salaries compared to theirs over here. I am not a contracting gunslinger and make half of what these mercs do (I only have to leave the base infrequently, so less chance of dying, other than several unscheduled mortars that fall randomly into the base), however, compared to the soldier's average 36 hour week, mine is 84 hours a week; no retirement, no college benefits, and also no military service preference for any fed job in the states; insurance covers some medical, no eyes, no teeth and only emergency care offered by the military while in theatre; we eat the same food, use the same water, sleep in similar quarters as the troops(varies depending on site), and follow all rules given by the military, ie, no alcohol, no drugs, no fornication, no porn, no speeding, no extra food servings for those not so fortunate, and the list goes on....anyway....point is.... the soldiers I talked to said "forget it", they have it much better!

i assume you propose federal civilian workers working for the AF vs civilian contractors working for a protection employer...if so generally the civilian contractors could make greater beneficial than the federal workers...however the way federal worker pay has been getting so some distance out of hand that may not constantly be actual anymore...and you in addition to could ought to assume the job titles are comparable. yet generally speaking the civilian contractors gets a commission greater.

Soldiers of Fortune make about 5 times a G.I.'s base pay. Anyone working there from the U.S. is making at least 4 times what a G.I. makes. No Iraqi's are working for the companies hired by the U.S. to support this war. Worker's have been brought in from other third world countries for the sole purpose of getting their labor on the cheap. War is a racket.

okay.. an average E-4 soldier makes approximately $3500/month in Iraq. Civilian contracters make anywhere from $90,000 to $200,000 a year depending on job.
