I was just wondering, me & my b-friend have been together for 5 years, I think things have become a bit boring, but anyway, my b-friend says that he still loves me ect.. i have no reason to doubt that at allllll,
but I was curious, can you really love someone for that long without thinking what if...
I know this sounds silly.

yes you can love someone and have the question what if. you are only human and your always going to want to know what if i would have been with someone else what if we would have started out diffrent you know...this is all normal. you also might find yourself bord as can be but in this case try something new and exciting be spontanious dont keep doing the same thing over and over again keep things interesting see if that makes the sparks fly again and if not mabey try couples counsiling.....and if your not happy you shouldnt stay just because he loves you you should only stay if you truly love him too...good luck

me and my GF are now passing our 4th year and there is still not a second of bore. a suggestion: take a closer look at ur relationship and try to find out if u REALLY love him or not. u don't need reasons for it but u can feel it deep inside. if u feel like givin' some other boys a try, it for sure means u don't love him. there may not be many different interesting things to do together, esp. if u notice i am living in iran with approximately no amusement, but even meetin' each other every day, if u look differently and if u try to love ur person all again, can be a living interesting accident, every day. but u have to really love him

5 yrs is a long time to be friends. I think he does not want to make a commitment to you. I really don't know how old you are or if your biological clock is ticking but pls. forgive me for my next line " Why buy the cow the the milk is so cheap"

yes of course though the level of intensity may vary during does long years but it is possible. I a lot of couples who has been together a lot longer the 5 years but are still madly inlove.

Well if you couldn't then you wouldn't be thinking it right now asking a question. You're probably thinking what if because you're not really as into him as u used to be and thta's probably because he's not as cool as he used to be before. It's not your fault it's his and tell him to stop being boring or you'll have to leave...i'm sure he'll do something quick.
