You can't really be serious. You're not even talking about ONE YEAR'S difference! Besides- you're both adults. You can do whatever you want to do. The wedding is about the both of you - not anyone else (regardless of what the others think).
Honey, to be totally frank with you, 9 months is a gestation period. It is not a determining factor of whether or not you can marry the woman that you love. Do you! Do what feels right for you and your woman.

Yes, u can marry her. Parents consider age seriously because they are focusing only on sexual satisfaction of their children. Because they have already faced those difficulties, so they dont want their children to suffer. But this thinking of parents is wrong. Mutual understanding between a husband and wife is very important.

I don't think your parents generation consider age seriously. I never met a 40-50 yr old person that looked down upon a wife being older than a husband. My cousin's wife is 6 year's older than him.

If your parents are considering the age you both are, I don't think it's the difference in age. 9 months is hardly any difference at all. Is it possible that they think you are too young and not mature enough yet to handle all of the responsibilities of marriage and family?

Parents are always concerned with their children's welfare, and no child has always "made their parents happy". As an adult, over the age of 18, responsible for your own welfare (a full-time job, financially secure), your parents are no longer your caretakers.

My 44-year-old daughter, mother of two, grandmother of one, recently married a man 12 years her junior. His mother appears to be happy for her son, and has accepted my daughter as her son's wife. Would she have preferred her son marry a woman closer to his age? I'm sure she would. Does the age difference mean my daughter cannot have a happy marriage? No.

Before I married my second husband, at the age of 59, I was seriously dating a man five years younger than me. We were "in love". We had many things in common: We both liked to dance, we liked history and traveling to historical sites, we enjoyed golfing, baseball, football, and the sex was great. Why didn't I marry him? He wanted to control the financial decisions: I wanted to share.

What does "being in love" mean to you?

Ummm 9 months is not alot. Are you like 17 & she's 18? Even still it doesnt matter. As long as you're both in love.

How old are you? If you are both legal that is fine. I am 9 mths older than my hubby. I have heard of much larger differences and it really doesnt get icky until you pass the 15 years older mark.

Age is not a big matter what matters if you love the person you are going to marry regardless age. as long as it is a legal age you all will be fine.

9 months or 9 years. Who cares about age difference as long as you both are consenting adults who love each other. Respect your parents but please yourself when it comes to matters of the heart.

I am 34 years older than my wife. So what. Age doesn't matter at all.
