I currently have a Pentax MZ 6 and am considering upgrading to a Pentax K100D but I just got new lenses. Can anyone clarify it for me and explain why if not. Thanks

Pentax is the one manufacturer which has always kept faith with its customers. All Pentax lenses fit all Pentax cameras (even the old screw fit, with an adaptor) Of course, you won't necessarily get all the functions - no autofocus if the lens is non-autofocus, for example. And remember, there will be a shift of approx 1.5 in focal length - so a 70 -200mm will become approx 105 - 300mm

I have had some problems in the past with standard lenses when i tried using them on a digital camera, take your lenses to a camera shop and ask them if you can try them on as i did.
You may get a system error when you start the camera, if this happens once it will keep happening.
To fix this problem i got in touch with Sigma who gave me a discount on the lenses i wanted in exchange for the old lenses.
You may get a better price if you sell them privately (if they don't work of course)
