No, they just remove the cement off your teeth from the brackets and bands and polish the enamel. The bleaching is an entirely different procedure, but very similar in the impression process. Let me give you a little heads up here. The dentist/orthodontist takes a final impression for your retainer to be made from and possibly for models for your completed case. These models are the same type that are used to make custom bleaching trays with. So you could always ask if they would make trays for you. Or ask for the models and take them to your regular dentist and ask him/her to make you some bleaching trays. Just be careful that the models don't get chipped or broken. They have to be an exact replica of your teeth in order for the trays to fit. Some dentist will be willing to do it at lab cost (usually $50.00 and up) if you've been a patient for awhile. It never hurts to ask, but ask the Doctor personally, he is more apt to do it for you since you already spent so much on ortho and they really do hate to say no to a patient. Don't go through the front desk....they are the money grabbers!!! That's what they get paid for, collections!!! not free give aways! After you get the trays all you have to do is purchase the bleach from your dentist and that is somewhere around $30.00-$40.00. Big difference from the price tag without the models. You can save around $300.00 if you do it this way. Hope I've given you some advice you'll use. Good luck and I know you will love the straighter, brighter new smile!

No brush well to avoid white squares on your teeth cause if you get them whitened they can still be visible and stay away from coke chocolate and sweets they will stain your teeth
(*chewy sweets will cause damage your braces by breaking the cement bonding the metal to your tooth*)

No they do not. They simply blank it for you. You're going to must whiten your enamel on your own. But you will have to move on your dentist first so they are able to endorse you on the way to whiten your enamel and fading the tan traces.

No not unless you ask them too and are willing to pay for it. It is your job to do a good job of brushing so that your teeth don't have that white line where you braces were. My son has been warned by his orthodontist tech but he still is a lousy brusher.

No it cost money and is pretty expensive to have done. Try do-it-yourself remedies first like crest white strips. They worked for me.
