He would be a great New Age Spiritualist. "Christian" - just a word - he seemed to talk the talk and walk the walk. He chose his own path rather than following dogma. No - I would call him a Free Thinker.

There is no Christian during Jesus' time. Not even many years after Jesus died.
The word Christian was given by pagan, for the represent the Messiah to bring good news. Christ means messiah.
Chistian means, little Christ.
First mentioned of Christian is in Acts 11:26.
So . . . . Christ is Jesus. Christ is not the family name as the westerner. Jesus followes are known as Jesus.

Christ was born a Jew and observed all the rituals and holidays. He came as the Messiah of the Jews and wished to mainly lead Jews to a new understanding of what God wanted for them.
It was not until his Crucifixion and resurrection that it became possible for him to pay for the sins of all those who would believe in him.
It was not until he left the earth and the Holy Spirit came that anyone, anywhere was able to become a Christian.
Christ was not a Christian but he, his death, and his resurrection made it possible for all who will believe in him to become and be Christians.

People who follow Christ's example are Christians! Christ set the example, so he was was The Example to set, not a follower of the example!
That's like asking if Elvis was an Elvis impersonator!

According to my Greek-English Lexicon, a Christian is a follower of Christ, so no, Christ would not have been a Christian. His followers are.

The term "Christian" means: a follower of Christ. If Christ followed himself, yes. But I don't see how that is possible.

he was God, he was born into a Jew family. but teachings were for everyone. i say he was not because christians are followers of christ. just like Jesus had desiples and apostles he was not one but had them. christians follow his teachings.
below it does not say he was born from a Jew. Mary was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
so he was God. or some say son of God, but born into a jew family. Mary was a virgin

no, he was not. He was the son of God.
his disciples were. his apostles were. some of his followers were, some were just there for a fish sandwich.
Christianity is a belief. He knew for a fact who he was and had no need to believe that the possibility of him existed.
