i know i am .. im just afraid of what lies ahead afterwards. i have been suicidal many times.

Absolutely. Most people are afraid to die regardless if the fact really is that they would like to die. The reason... death is the unknown, so naturally since people don't know what will happen when they are actually dead is the reason many are afraid.
There are people, on the other hand that are not afraid to die, however they are not suicidal.

yes you can be suicidal and afraid to die and if you are feeling this way I implore you to call the suicide hot line it is confadential you dont have to give your name or you can have a friend or family member go with you to a psychiatrist or admit to hospital it will be ok there are alot of things to live for I know I have been there and it helped me to understand my feelings and how to reconize when they were coming on and what I could do to change them and what the triggers were to avoid.You will be glad you did you will find others who feel the way you do that you are not alone with your feelings.

yes, because suicidal isn't nesscarily meaning wanting to die, but really just wanting to end the pain and seeing no other way but to kill yourself. That's why alot of ppl abort thier suicide attempt halfway through, because they are afraid of death though they want to get rid of the pain.

yes you can be, but it will not stop you from acting on the suicidal part, so please if you are feeling that way, please call the crisis line tonight and talk to someone now, and get some help, cause some day you may find you are not afraid anymore to do it, an that is even worse, so please go and get the help that you need, since it is the weekend, and a hoilday tomorrow, call the crisis line, er, hospital or police, so you can get the help that you need to now, please do not put this off, call now.

yes they can be... thats why a lot (NOT ALL!!!) of suicide attempts fail, due to fear. i am somewhat afraid of what will happen AFTER i die... but death itself holds no fear for me...

of course they can. fear of death or the after life or whatever is very normal even when you are suicidal.
