And please state your religion....something like this:

I am all for it because they are the Holy people of G-d.

I feel they should have their country back and be able to live in peace there. Gnostic

I support it because we have a right to be there. And NOT because "it's ours from the Torah" or something. Putting that aside, legally the Balfour Declaration combined with its acceptance by the League of Nations pretty much made Israel a legal state: more legal than any other country on this earth, whose boundaries were determined by warfare. You could say Israel (whose boundaries were set up by the League of Nations) was an immaculately conceived nation.

Putting that aside: the idea that the "occupation" is the reason for Arab aggression is ridiculous, as well as the notion of "displaced Palestinians." Arab aggression began full-scale operations in 1917. The State of Israel was not born until 1948. Which came first? The Palestinians are living in refugee camps because on May 15 1948 the surrounding Arab nations basically told the Palestinians "hey, we're going to bomb the sh*t out of that place, you might want to move. We'll take you in. That place and those people are going into the Mediterranean. Get out." So many moved. And then the Arab countries stopped letting people in. The Palestinians had left their homes and now were forced to live in refugee camps. The situation there now is unfortunate and there have been mistakes on both sides but the facts remain that the IDF foils 33 suicide bombing attempts each day by using the wall and the checkpoints for each one attack that succeeds.

I think it is good that America supports Israel because it is basically Daniel in the lion's den out there: a democracy in a mess of tyranny.

I support it because it gives us a foothold in the region, and they are badasses and good allies. I am an agnostic and my support of Israel is not at all motivated by religion, but by my own self interest as an American.

Oh, Lover of God: Israel was created in 1948, the Spanish Armada was destroyed by England in 1588. AND the policy of Spain beginning in the 1200's was to drive every Jew out of the country, so whatever you think you are talking about, it is absolutely wrong. I hope some ignorant *** preacher didn't tell you that, cos I would really feel sorry for you!

I'm Atheist and do respect any Faith.

In terms of religion, I see Jews as the only ones close to the original Truth (historically speaking). I find the holocaust and every form of dicriminations towards them absolutely HIDEOUS and SHAMEFUL. That's why people shouldn't forget what Nazis did because it has been the darkest and worst page in mankind's history ever, and SHOULD NEVER EVER BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN AGAIN.

This said however, I must say that the unconditioned support given to Israel by the US is WRONG. Don't forget that a portion of (a third nation) Palestine was 'given' arbitrarely to the Jews by the winners of WW II; so, I wouldn't stand that stubbornly by Israel's side especially in circumstances such as the Lebanon 'invasion', because the State of Israel exists as a 'concession' of a portion of land by Palestine, so Israelis shouldn't pull the rope so much as they have no right to.

The point is that Jews control the world finance, and by virtue of that, control the US too; and that explains WHY the US can't even dare to raise against Israel. Democracy and Justice shouldn't be biased by external factors, unfortunately they are...

Well, a lot of the Jews living in Israel migrated from other places in the Middle East, so when Arabs say they should all go back where they came from, I wonder whether they're serious.

For example, Medina used to be predominantly Jewish, until Muhammad exiled two of the Jewish tribes (the Bani Qaynuqah and the Bani Nadir) and then the third and final tribe (Bani Qurayzah) he beheaded all the men and sold the women and children for ransom to the ones he'd exiled.

By the way, the Bani Qaynuqah and Bani Nadir went to live with their fellow Jews in Khaybar, another Jewish town in Arabia. Later, Mohammad attacked and conquored Khaybar, too.

So when Arabs say all the Jews in Israel should go back where they came from, it makes me wonder -- are they really willing to give back Medina? How about Khaybar? Is Morocco willing to take back the 600,000 or so that migrated from there to Israel during the last century? How many Jews is Yemen ready to take back?

I do not agree for a couple of reasons. First off, the US uses countries like Israel for their own good. The US always has an agenda at hand. They find a weak nation and support it only because it benefits them in some way later.

Secondly, Israel needs to stay within their own borders and stop trying to take land that is not theirs.

Words of Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum
against Zionist Heresy :

"It is clear that anyone who believes in G-d has no doubt that they are from the source of the accursed impurity of heresy, Heaven help us. It is horrible that such a thing arose in our day, and how can we be silent when we see such violations of our faith and the principles of our entire Torah? Especially since so many of our religious brethren fail to speak out about the truth! In such circumstances, the entire truth could be forgotten, G-d forbid.

"Everything our blessed rabbis cried out about earlier in the century about the dangers of Zionism has almost been forgotten! Even my own writings go ignored. THEREFORE, SHOULD THE TRUTH AND FOUNDATIONS OF OUR RELIGION BE FORGOTTEN? It is impossible to describe to what extent the world has become sunken in such a falsehood which is destroying the entire Torah. Therefore we are obliged to cry out before anyone against the deep impurity which has spread out in our generation. Let us hope there are increasing numbers who open up their eyes and the teachings of our forefathers should reach their ears to seek truth and faith. Without this, there is no hope...."

[The Torah] forbids us to strive for the reunion or possession of the land by any but spiritual means

Rabbi S. R. Hirsch :
Not via our desire did we leave the land of Israel, and not via our power will we come back to the land of Israel.

Rabbi S.D. Schneerson :
[Zionists] want a state in order to make Jews into heretics.

Rabbi C. Soloveichik :
The Zionists have attacked the center point of Judaism.

Rabbi V. Soloveichik :
The root of Zionism is heresy and its branches can hardly be otherwise.

How far this unbelievable Zionist conspiracy has captured the Jewish masses, and how impossible it is for any different thought to penetrate their minds, even to the point of mere evaluation, can be seen in the vehemence of the reaction to any reproach. With blinded eyes and closed ears, any voice raised in protest and accusation is immediately suppressed and deafened by the thousandfold cry: "Traitor," "Enemy of the Jewish People."

They are America's only real ally in the Middle East, but I think we
tend to approve of some of their actions without proper thought as to the reaction of other Arab nations. Agnostic

am not. The Arabs in the area were kicked out, and now that "Nation" is taking new areas [Like the Golan Heights.], and uprooting 2000 years of life. That whole fence angers me too.

Just because a religious document says they had it a long time ago is no reason to do it.

I love Jewish Mysticism, but dislike Zionism. And do not believe America should help illegal occupations.

Christian,

"Those who bless Israel, I will bless."

That sums it up.

The chief ally of Israel has always been the world power of it's day, all the way back to the Spanish Armada, and Alexander the Great.
History backs that up, just check it out.
"Pray for the peace and safety of Israel."
