People are amazing. I haven't gotten a speeding ticket yet so far. But I'd accept it with no good reason on my part to speed. I can't lie well enough. Even my dog knows I'm lying when I tell him the treats are all gone.

Well it wasn't an excuse so much but I pulled over a car from Ontario on the prairies. He was exceeding the limit and I said, "Ontario eh? I've been waiting for one of you all day." He paused a second and said, "Well, I got here as fast as I could." I let him go with a warning after I stopped laughing.

My dad pulled over a woman for doing 78 in a 55 mph zone. Everything was fine until she paid her ticket an month later, going into a a 2 page explanation of how she was being chased by a UFO and how she spent 3 weeks on Venus (a hell she wouldn't even want her evil mother-in-law to go through)! Her PS on the letter was "Do you think the trooper actually clocked the UFO speed instead of my primative Chevy Cavilier?"
The story was actually picked up by AP and put in newspapers around the country with the full letter printed.

Question is why do they speed! They speed all the time, your driving obeying the law, and they just zoom past you with no sirens. It's rediculous, but the one above me was hilarious. "I got here as fast as I could" lmao I'm glad you gave him a warning.

I pulled one guy over for speeding and he told me, "I didn't want you to see the expired registration tags on my license." He got a ticket for both.....

Some guys would have a bottled water and dump it on their lap say they were speeding because they had to go real bad. Women carry cameras and say they had to get to the hospital because they sister had baby and needed to get there fast to take pictures.

I'm no cop but here is my excuse I was trying to pay attention to the road not you behind me not my speedometer the road in front of me so I don't crash and cause a accident.

i got away clean when the officer asked me why i was speeding? i asked him how did he know, my cloaking device was engaged. he must have been a big star trek fan. he walked back to his vehicle laughing.

I guy told me once that he had to go home and poo. LOL. I don't know whether it was true or not, but I gave him a warning anyway.
