As much as I see a large zealot factor in America within Christianity I have not been bothered to read or understand it's core ideals. I am curious how many of you have gone totally biased strictly due to the zealots??

I came out of Christianity and can verify that a large number, especially of the so-called Christian Right are quite zealous about trying to convert others to their way. I believe that most of them are so because of a genuine concern that those who are not Christians will burn for all eternity in Hell. That doesn't make them right, just understandable.

They still can be annoying as hell, though.

I dont believe in fairy tales. Magic is cool in Harry Potter but not in a book that is claiming to be historically accurate. It has nothing to do with zealots.

I am biased because I used to be one, so I know how twisted their thinking is.
