Technically it could probably leave you MORE vulnerable to skin infections, because shaving can cause irritation and/or cuts on the skin, or ingrown hairs which are all avenues for bacteria to enter the body.

Next time you make a bet, you should make sure you have the facts to back it up BEFORE you make the bet. While shaving may keep things trimmed up, it is not going to reduce the chance of getting an STD. As for a "skin infection", that would be an abnormal occurrence if you got a "skin infection". Shaving your pubic hair is not going to change your chance of getting an infection. In fact, it could increase the chance because you run the risk of getting an ingrown hair (which would result in a pimple-like cyst), cut the skin with the razor, or if you get razor burn from using a dull razor.

shaving does not in anyway reduce the chance of getting a skin infection if anything it will greatly improve your chances.. think about it skin on skin contact, almost like a burn you get when you rub someones arm in the wrong direction. And if you cut yourself you can risk getting a infection or a STD. I wouldn't shave unless your going in for surgery or at least trim if you think the bush is out of control. There are people out there that say if you shave it will enhance your sexual experiance, but that depends on the person. i hope you have that 50 handy for your buddy.

Actually it increase your chances of getting a skin infection.

When you shave you are taking off many cell layers of the epidermis or outer layer of skin. Your skin is the first line of defense for your body against infection.

When you shave you are also causing millions of microscopic abrasions and contusions to the skin, each and every one a opening for infection.

No...shaving actually increases your chances of getting infections, because you might cut your self. You need the body hair you have, it protects your skin. I think you need to read up and see a Dr for your problems...

Not sleeping around will reduce your chances of getting any infections. Why would you get skin infections in that area anyway? Gross.
