Me my friend and the guy I like went to the moves. we were in the purrsuit of happyness and he started CRYING!! you would think he was a tough guy. why did he cry?

It's a sad movie. Don't be hard on the guy, trust me in 20 years you will be begging him to show any sign of emotion. Guys who cry during a sad film are not less "tough", they are real. Trust me, that is a positive trait.

What's wrong with that? Does it freak you out that a tough guy would cry? Guys that are able to show their feelings are far more together than the tough guys who cry when no one sees them.

yea i think he is a tough guy.. that movie really touches some people the way that others dont know. it was a really sad movie, and just because you think that men dont cry.... i think that the more manly a guy is, the more he will cry. it takes a LOT for a guy to show his feelings... EVEN MORE SO infront of a hot girl..

I don't see why you didn't. That movie was deep. The love for his son through all the obstacles. Maybe he can relate emotionally, because of his experiences with his own father. Maybe his father didn't love him, he is no longer with him, or he misses him. Just comfort him. You can't assume all guys are hard, and tough. I don't assume all girls are weak, fragile, overdramatic drama queens.

well some people have to find a place to cry.. he probulary wasnt crying because of the movie that just gave him a cover or something to cry about.. but he probulary did this becaues he has a lot of emotion all bent up inside of him and he just had to let it go.. alot of tough guys do this ive dating alot of them and well he probulary just felf comfortable around you guys i guess thats all i cant think of...

Guys have emotions too and it's only society saying that men shouldn't show any sort of feeling in public.
If he's generally a manly type of guy, I think you've got yourself a good one, someone who can show emotions while still retaining his masculine appeal. These blokes make good dads!

You don't always want a macho man,
because sometimes those are the ones that
are hard to understand. At least you know
that he will understand you when you feel bad

Maybe something in the movie really hit home with him, like it made him think about something in his past. Or he was trying to show you that he has a sensitive side too.
