I think that, like most things, it's all in your interpretation, dude. What MLK took from the bible was it's wisdom, Pat looks for the fastest way to make a buck.

There are some people who try to do what they think is the right thing and some who use any means available to them to control others if it is to their advantage. Martin Luther King was a great man. I admire what he did. But I understand that he was a womanizer. Religion is not the answer. Never has been never will be. I'm just saying.

Well......religion didn't produce either.

Martin Luther King rememberance day was set up by the government after his death during the civil rights era. It was established so we can all remember the struggles that MLK Jr. went through to bring equality for all people.

I don't know what to to tell you about Pat Roberston....he's in a comletely different catagory.

Dr King worked for good to help mankind. Robertson and Falwell work to hold mankind back.

I am sure there were lots of idiot fundies during the days of Dr. King. Those were the people at the polls citing scripture that validated their belief that whites are better than anyone else.

MLK was a known adulterer, and Pat Robinson has been Faithful to his wife 30+ years. I guess MLK could "talk the talk, but could not walk the walk." He passed his ideas on to his protege, Jesse Jackson, who has admitted to his "love child" coming from his unfaithfulness to his wife. Jesse also hired Bill Clinton to work in his organization, guess, "birds of a feather, DO flock together". Not all people who say they're Christian can walk the way Pat Robertson does with his Lord Jesus.

The truth of the matter is...It didn't!..Pat Robertson is one of those 'pseudo- Christians' peculiar to the United States!..Like most of these people, he confuses his extreme right wing political and racial beliefs, with his religious fanaticism and thinks its Christianity!..He and others like him completely ignore the life of Jesus and what he taught about compassion and forgiveness!..What he taught us about loving one another is total anathema to them!..They are consumed by hate and intolerance, they despise the poor and down trodden, They are old testament "literalism's"who believe in all the old biblical punishments, no forgiveness here folks!..Many of them tend to be sexual obsessives to the exclusion of almost everything else..I could go on and on about these extremests!..Christians?..Oh, i dont think so!

the "religion" doesn't produce anyone or anything .Many things within any given teaching can be interpeted in a way other than it was meant.... it's a choice to believe or not and our responsability to question and challenge to find the truth.

They didn't - their parents did. People of the same religion have very different interpretations of the Bible, the world, etc. That's the way it's always been.
