You can't ban everything bad for us. Parents need to stop raising their kids on fast food. I still want a whopper every once in a while. I wish the lazy would stop blaming everyone else for their problems.

I think it's anti-american. We live in a free enterprise society where competition is encouraged. If a company wants to market their product with a toy they should be allowed. It doesnt even make any sense to me anyway because now McDonalds has so many options like milk instead of soda, kids can get fruit instead of fries etc, so the meal is about as healthy as any other fast food item at McDonalds or any other fast food place. I think the states that voted for that really overstepped their bounds and it should be reversed.

I think banning fast food is wrong considering people have the choice to eat there. This is a free country and if that's what people want to do to themselves let them. That's what makes this country great. And besides fast food once and a while won't hurt you. It's all choice and some people choose fast food just like you choose not to.

Hell no don't band them!
It's not there fault that a large portion of Americans are obese. Yes they can help and fix the problem, but it's the indavidual who chooses wha tthey want to eat. Mcdonald's and Burger King offer healthy foods as well, but it's the people that want the fat foods. Also eating either BK or McDonald's isn't healthy, depending on how much you eat. Some eat it, and work out and are very healthy. It depends also on your daily routine. When you look at it, it's the indaviduals choice. I love BK! But I still realize the responsibility of keeping my body healthy! Yes, they are part of the problem, but the choice is made by the person.

human beings are self-destructive by nature. if it wasn't fast food it would be something else. anybody that doesn't live in a 3rd world country has options regarding the food items that they ingest.
with the Information Age and now the Internet nobody has any excuse for having a lack of knowledge regarding the health risks from a diet based on fast foods..

You can get fat eating anything. You can get food poisioning at home too. Getting fat doens't just have to do with what you are eating it also has to do with the way the body processes it. Some people's bodies are able to process better than others. It has to do with age too.It also has to do with activity levels. People may as well eat and enjoy what they are eating as long as they are enjoying it. You are only going to be on this earth for a limited time.

Banning fast food would be the best way to stop obesity and with it diabetes and all the ills associated with obesity in the countries where fast food restaurants (and I use that term loosely), have taken hold.
Fast food places knew a LONG time ago that the antibiotics and growth hormones given to the cattle are passed onto humans. They knew feeding dead animals in the form of ground up cattle feed resulted in mad cow disease. They knew that transfats clog arteries and heart disease.
Why didn't the government step in...?
Because your senators and congress people are paid big money and "gifts" to keep laws away from stopping it that's why.
Google the largest purchaser of beef in the world and you will see who controls what goes into cattle.

Some people don't know how to cook.
Some people don't have the time to cook.
Some people are so poor they haven't even got a full kitchen where they live.
PS One reason I'd give your question a thumbs down is that it's poorly written and spelled. Another is that you are making generalizations against Americans and making yourself morally superior.

I don't like the idea, but it is probably good for us. If possible, I'd like them to ban the use of chemical, fake, or processed products. They should sell some real healthy food in there. Not fried and greasy fakeburgers.

I agree. As a society we are really lazy. We want everything to be easy and quick and we don't care about the consequences. I wish they were banned too. Or better yet, I wish someone would come out with a really good healthy fast food. and please NO SUBWAY. I'm so sick of those commercials with I can't remember his name...oh yeah, Jarrod
