Is it safe to use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth? how much should I use if its safe? What other things can whiten teeth besides going to the dentist and tooth paste and the whitening strips?

Baking soda definitely works. I was initially turned onto it by my grandmother, who is 75 and from Texas. She has beautiful teeth. She says that when she was growing up "in the country," people used baking soda not toothpaste. So, I brush with a baking soda toothpaste and I also brush with straight baking soda every other day. My teeth are extremely white, and they also feel clean. I don't know of any alternate methods of teeth whitening besides this or going to the dentist.

Yes. It is safe to use baking soda and also peroxide in the right amount. Not sure about how much but I'm pretty sure it would take a very large amount of the over the counter stuff to harm you. Also don't swallow it just brush teeth and rinse. I had a boyfriend who did the peroxide once. He looked like Ross from friends when he had his teeth bleached. I had lazer whitening before but it is very expensive. My teeth went like 12 shades lighter though. Also strawberries rubbed on your teeth are a natural cleaner and whitener.

i've attempted baking soda however now not hydrogen peroxide, and it really works pleasant! it begins operating very quick considering the fact that the tough texture takes to the air discoloring even as you are brushing. The best factor--> it tastes REALLY gross. You too can take a look at Arm and Hammer manufacturer toothpaste considering the fact that it comes with baking soda in it. Good Luck! MusicFreak

brush with the baking soda than pour hydrogen peroxide on the brush and brush again...do not swallow any of it.......when your done rinse your mouth out with lots of water.....by the way, after awhile it will whiten your teeth........

Regular hydrogen peroxide will make you vomit.

It's okay but just do it once or twice a week; it is not for every day.
