i like a guy who lives in canada. i want to go see him, and he has agreed to pay for the ticket. i am eighteen, and i need to talk to my parents to convince them to let me go there for a few days to see him. they might start thinking that we are gonna be getting busy, which we might be, so i need help because i dont know how to convince them to let me go. what should i say? plz help!!!

ur still too young my dear.. but if u really like to meet him , let him come to u! convince him that u r a young girl and ur parents would probably not let u go there alone! so if he really loves u and worths meeting , he will come himself. if he dont come, u wont loose anything,cuz he never loved u! wish u best lucks.

Baby! just be carefull. The better way is to talk to ur Mama or ur elder sis (if any) so as to ensure that some one else take responsibility. It is only true in exceptional cases that some 1 living somewhere cares for u but usually it is lust nothing else. So again I advice u to be very very carefull.

Personally, i would highly recommend not to visit him because you don't really know him. You are ony 18 years old and you don't know how to protect yourself. you might want to suggest that he visits you instead.
If necessary, you might want to provide your parents the following information on the guy:
- a picture of the guy
- address
- land line number
- how you have met him
- his name of course
- how you can be contacted while in canada
If he really likes you and wants to see you, he will be willing to speak to your parents and give them information to reassure your safety to them. He would also allow parents of both sides to converse on your visit.
Tell your parents that you won't do anything such as you have implied and keep your promise if you really want to visit the guy. If he likes you, he won't mind waiting till the next visit to 'get busy'.

i agree, if you dont know the guy, dont take the chance. My friend purchaced a ticket to go visit this guy and got stood up. It all depends on how well you know they guy.

Good Gravy girl!!!! If he really wants to see you that bad...let him come here. Why should you have to go to Canada to see him. It is far more safe for him to come here than it is for you to go there!!!!!
Sounds like a total set-up to me!! If he can afford the tickets for you to go there...then he can afford the tickets to come here and rent a hotel room. It seems to me that you may not know enough about him to make a move like that!!

Do you know this guy? Have you ever met this guy? If you have met this guy and your parents have met him already, I dont see any problems with it. I think you should just go straight up and ask them...
If you do not know him, I would advice you not to go, because if you met him online, this is a big problem now-a-days.
