No. A lot of the people who criticize Islam here don't know a lot about it, but many Muslims will give you misleading information as well. The same is true if you go to an Islamic site, where Muslims will tell you things about Islam that are just untrue. It's hard to find someone who's really informative. I try and answer as many questions about Islam as I can. Understandably, I'm not unbiased, because I'm an Egyptian ex-Muslim and Islamic law calls for ex-Muslims to be killed (See the four Fatwas, or Islamic rulings, I put below). But despite my bias, I usually back my answers and questions about Islam with encyclopedic articles, Islamic sites, or news, unless I'm talking about something very well-known. So no, this is not a good place to learn about Islam accurately, but if you keep an open mind and stay objective and sophisticated and don't believe everything you read, you can do it.

I dont think this is a good place to learn too. If you want to learn. Start by the quran. It's the most effective way and yo would only judge from god's words what do you want just as learning christianaity from the bible. And if you need further help, there are many islamic websites to seek answers. Just start by the source, and make it ur base to search for answers on further questions.

Your choice of religion is just that, YOUR CHOICE. There are many people who are Muslim here and many who are not. You will see many extremes on both sides of the issue.

You may get some intelligent and well informed information and opinions, but you'll also get a lot of junk. I guess it depends on how well you can identify the good info from the garbage.

If you don't mind being bombarded by intolerant christian fundamentalists who will tell you Islam is the devil (it isn't) and try to convert you to their brand of Christianity. But other than that, yes, there are a few knowledgeable Muslims around here.
