I'm not sure what to think of myself anymore. I believe in a Supreme Being (not sure who or what it is though), I do believe in Karma (What goes around, comes around) I do not agree with any religions at all. I do believe the Bible AND the Quaan (or how ever you spell it) was written by delusionals. Help plz.

I know I can't believe in both, I don't believe in any of them, that's why I said that both were written by delusionals (men that think they got their words to write from "God")

Sweetgurl, you are not alone. I would venture to say you are at the top of the heap when it come to being spiritually ahead of the game. Don't fret about all the controversy you see here ... this is just a forum for people to toss about their opinions ... all claiming to be correct.

The truth is, there is no one right way .... sincere seeking will get you further than those who defiantly proclaim to be correct. Ever hear the story about the rabbit and the tortoise? You would be the tortoise who wins the race.

Bless you.

The journey in finding which faith suits you best, can be a difficult one. I honestly can't give any advice, because belief is a personal matter.

I don't believe in a Supreme Being, I hardly believe in karma either. I agree with you that Bible and Q'uran are delusional.

I do, however, believe in something more. Not in a God, or even anything which holds power over us. But some sort of constant energy of Love. Or Good. I call myself a somethingist. I'm probably the only somethingist on this planet, but hey, beliefs are personal.

Just try to remind that nobody knows. Nobody has answers to why we exist, how we came to existence, etc. All we have is random guesses.

In my blog, I wrote down my beliefs. You are welcome to read them, maybe it helps. Maybe it will also make it worse, I don't know.

All I can say is that I wish you good luck on your journey. Please keep in mind that there are bigger things in life than the 'god/no god' question.

That is something you need to figure out on your own (hopefully you do).

Why don't you agree with any religions (karma is not a religion)? Haven't you had ANY experiences in your life which make you lean toward one or the other?

Do you celebrate Christmas?

The Bible was not written by delusionals. You need to have a more open mind, and hopfully you'll find what your looking for.

Neither the Bible nor the Koran (sp) were written by delusionals but by educated scholars or scribes. You won't find your God in any religious rituals or by following religious commandments. You'll find him in your soul, using your heart and mind. Keep searching and know that there is truth in every religion. No one can see the whole elephant. I believe in christianity because that has been a real experience for me. And I believe it is the truth. But I did not come to believe this by ascibing to or adhering to any one church doctrine, most of which emphasizes one particular truth to the exclusion of others. Don't believe in a religion--believe in God, supreme being, higher power, then search for him with all your heart, soul, and yes, mind and you will find your part of the elephant.

"The Islamic teachings have left great traditions for equitable and gentle dealings and behavior, and inspire people with nobility and tolerance. These are human teachings of the highest order and at the same time practicable. These teachings brought into existence a society in which hard-heartedness and collective oppression and injustice were the least as compared with all other societies preceding it....Islam is replete with gentleness, courtesy, and fraternity."
(H.G. Wells)

"Islam is a religion that is essentially rationalistic in the widest sense of this term considered etymologically and historically....the teachings of the Prophet, the Qur'an has invariably kept its place as the fundamental starting point, and the dogma of unity of God has always been proclaimed therein with a grandeur a majesty, an invariable purity and with a note of sure conviction, which it is hard to find surpassed outside the pale of Islam....A creed so precise, so stripped of all theological complexities and consequently so accessible to the ordinary understanding might be expected to possess and does indeed possess a marvelous power of winning its way into the consciences of men."
(Edward Montet, 'La Propagande Chretienne et ses Adversaries Musulmans,' Paris)

"If any religion had the chance of ruling over England, nay Europe within the next hundred years, it could be Islam...I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Savior of Humanity...I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today.”
(Sir George Bernard Shaw in 'The Genuine Islam')

"Arabia was idolatrous when, six centuries after Jesus, Muhammad introduced the worship of the God of Abraham, of Ishmael, of Moses, and Jesus. The Aryans and some other sects had disturbed the tranquility of the east by agitating the question of the nature of the Father, the son, and the Holy Ghost. Muhammad declared that there was none but one God who had no father, no son and that the trinity imported the idea of idolatry...I hope the time is not far off when I shall be able to unite all the wise and educated men of all the countries and establish a uniform regime based on the principles of Qur'an which alone are true and which alone can lead men to happiness."
(Napoleon Bonaparte as Quoted in Cherfils, ‘Bonaparte et Islam,’ Paris, France)

The purpose of records whatever people use them for is to give us a history. The Bible takes events of happenstance and says its evidence of a higher power, other records say the same, so, if you want to believe at whatever level, do so. This confusion your experiencing is because you haven't tested the record. I have and thus believe that God does exist and holds the name of Jesus as a motivation before us people. Jesus teaches the positive position that we should test the record for ourselves.

Religion is based on man. Man and his efforts to attain the approval of God.
Christ never had one good thing to say about religion.
"They are as whitewashed sepulchers on the outside, but on the inside they are full of dead men's bones."

So you basically are agreeing with Christ.
Christianity is based on God and His abilities, and you are supposed to try and bring your virtues more in line with Christ's,
with His help. Not force your beliefs on others, but live rightly, unto God, not poking your nose into other people's business, but just focusing on your relationship to God.

Hope this helps

This is not the venue to seek eternal answers.

Stop sitting on the fence. Study the faiths yourself and choose the one that makes the most sense to you. Don't look at the followers or their organizations.

That's what I did and I believe Jesus was the only person whose claims made sense. I could not disagree with anything He said. Jesus is the only sensible answer.

I dont blame you one bit!..Everyone tells you their religion is right and if you dont believe them..They will either kill you, {as in the Koran} or they will kill you again,{as in the old testament}..Then you get the hell condemners.."If yo' don' b'lieve whut ah tells you boy..You is gung go t' hayell...But f' money..Ah kin save you!"That sort of thing!...Karma?..No, not in a random universe, you cant predict the future because of the very nature of its chaotic behavior!.However!!..If you have a bible, may i recommend you read John chapter 3 verse 16..and then read, the first book of Corinthians, chapter 13..And you may find many of your questions are answered!..
