does anyone know how to tell what color my babys eyes will most likley have if i have blue eyes and he has hazel?? will it most likely have brown??

my family all has blue and his is all hazel that i know of he has never met his dad

I'll say maybe more hazel. They could even turn out to be green! Like everyone was saying though, darker colors are more dominant. Which is weird because both my friends have brown eyes but their baby's eyes are blue. Odd, lol.

most likely hazel or brown...blue is the least dominant color for eyes...2 blue eyes parents can have a brown eyed child...but the chances of 2 brown eyed parents having a blue eyed child...well it is nearly impossible...i have blues eyes , my girls father has hazel eyes...both my girls were born with blue eyes(most babies r) and now my 2 yr old ha hazel and my 6 mth old has almost black brown...i hope this helps and Good Luck

darker colors are the more dominate trait. like brown hair and eyes. i remember it from middle school. if one parent has blond and blue eyes and the other brown hair and brown eyes, the child will more then likely take after the more dominate trait which is the brown color. if you look at people on the street most of them have darker hair and eyes. it still is the luck of the draw though. good luck!

Thats' hard to tell, I have blue eyes, my hubby has brown. My baby is 2 months old right now and they loook bluish to me, but they could change anywhere up to a year. But if they come out brown they stay brown, and any other color could change. And don't forget- brown is the dominant trait.

Nope. It's all genetic. And genetics go back through the entire family histories not just to a baby's parents.

I have brown eyes, my husband has blue.
Our first daughter had blue eyes and our second had brown.
My brother sister and I all have brown eyes but our parents have green eyes.
It all depends.
