BTW, I am a 16 year old kid, with really premature balding. It really blows, but I've come to terms with it. My Dermotoogist put me on Rogaine, but I've been reading the labels and it says its only used for treating vertextual balding (i.e. your bald spot/crown of head)
I've been using the Rogaine all over my head, not only in the bald spot. I take a 1/2 cap full (this is foam) and spread it over the crown as well as the top of my head. It's only been a couple weeks on it, and I've yet to notice negative side effects. I would like to correct any improper technique now. Does Rogaine grow back hair that's not on your crown?

Bummer! Yes, anywhere there is a hair follicle Rogaine will regrow the hair, but the quality lacks in that it is fine and of course if you stop using Rogaine the regrown hair goes away.
If it really bothers you and I guess it does, I would suggest hair-weaving or some of the newer techniques...if you have a lot of money transplants work....Google regrown hair and learn all you can about the subject.

Rogaine works best at regrowing, or at least helping to keep the hair you've got, on the top of your head. You can safely use it anywhere on your scalp though. Most men tend to loose hair on top, and keep the "ring" around the sides and back. Hair in this area just seems to be resistant to balding. I think you should continue doing what you're doing... applying the product to your areas of thinness. As far as side effects, I believe the leaflet in the package even says they will only occur if you use Rogaine more that 2x a day. Good luck!

Hey, I have heard that many people use Rogaine with good results...I was just wondering though....do you wear baseball caps or cowboy hats alot, sometimes I think that has an effect on men and their hair....or I guess it could be inherited too....Good Luck
