It is normal for puppies to lose their teeth and the adult teeth should be present in their place. Usually a puppy does not have bad breath during this transition. If you puppy has bad breath there could be a problem with his teeth, gums, mouth or even his nasal passages. If the problem persists, I would suggest a veterinary visit to determine the cause of the odor. -

Yes. It's not only normal, it's necessary.
If the teeth don't fall out the puppy should see a veterinary dentist. It might be that some of the adult teeth are missing, which happens sometimes and doesn't make a whole lot of difference to a pet, or it could be that the adult teeth are coming in but the milk teeth are not loosening. In the second case, the dentist will have to remove the baby teeth for the adult teeth to grow in properly.

Yes, just like human children, puppies lose their first or milk teeth to be replaced by their permanent teeth and the addition of molars for chewing. While this loss of puppy teeth and arrival of adult teeth usually starts around four months and finishes around six months, the timing varies by breed and individual dog. So what is happening to your dog is normal and necessary. See the Puppies tip category for more information.

well it depends upon the age
welll if a dog looses teeth then
Loss of teeth is usually indicative of dental disease. It seems that small breeds of dogs such as Pomeranian's are prone to dental disease, which can result in tooth loss. It is extremely important that you visit your veterinarian for an examination and dental cleaning to preserve the remaining teeth. If the dental disease is severe, tooth extractions may be necessary, as might antibiotic treatment once he has gone home. Once that is done, regular home dental care and veterinary check ups are important for your dog's future good dental health.
# Dogs are born with no teeth at all, but grow them in the first two or three weeks after birth. At around eight weeks of age, a puppy should have a full set of twenty-eight teeth (some breeds may have a slight variation), consisting of pre-molars (not full molars), incisors, and canines.
# Beginning around three months of age, puppies start to lose their first set of teeth.
# The first ones noticed are usually the pointier canines, when an owner notices blood on chew toys. Many times an owner won't even realize his puppy has started to shed teeth.
# Adult teeth start to erupt within a few days of losing a tooth, and you'll notice your puppy has started a reign of terror, mouthing everything, chewing like there's no tomorrow. This is my favourite part of puppyhood ... not.
# An adult set has forty-two teeth: twenty-two on the lower jaw (mandible) and twenty on the upper jaw (maxilla). Twelve incisors, four canines, sixteen pre-molars, and four molars on the upper jaw, and six more on the lower jaw.

Hi!! Like children, puppies lose their baby teeth as the adult teeth come in.
Baby teeth are smaller and sharper. Some smaller breeds of dogs may not lose all their baby incisor or canine teeth and may need to have them removed to make room for the adult teeth.
Puppies do not have molars because grinding a lot of food in not necessary at this young stage in their lives. At about four month old, puppies begin to lose their puppy teeth and the adult dog teeth begin to come in. Adults have 42 dog teeth, although there is some slight variation in breeds. The molar are the last to come in at about six or seven months old.
