Better than what. To the best of my knoweldge there is no longer INVOLUNTARY servitude in the world. There is no longer forced marraiges for girls in the world. There is no longer child labor in most of the world. We live longer, eat better (except in America, that is) have less diseases.
Would you rather go back to the days of the Flu pandemic in 1918 or the black plauge in the 1000 era?
In FRANCE marriages were arranged clear into 1910.

Things have gotten significantly better. Child labor , for instance, was the norm at one point in time. Beating ones children was acceptable at one time. We are people. People are territorial and want to protect their own "tribes". At the same time we have empathy and compassion. It's up to each one of us to offer our best and I truly think most people do that. The veneer of civilization is fragile...and in terms of evolution, we are still young. I think it's amazing that we have the peace that we do have! Are you young? Study history and you'll see that while we have a long way to go, we have also come a long way.

That’s a complex question. Which things???
Could we end world hunger if we really wanted? Yes, the earth produces plenty of food. How do we get it out to people? We have to invest in the resources to do so. Simple. We need motive for that, though.

Somtimes you are at a place were the only direction is up and if it does get worse than it is up from there. So yes things do get better just depends on where you are standing ; )

This world is going to hell in a handbasket and in a hurry to get there.... things will get much worse before they get better.....
but when the Lord returns and things get better .... they will literally be "out of this world" :)
God bless

I don't believe so because Bible prophecy indicates there will be no peace until the Lord returns.
