I get a strange vibe from her that she doesn't think I'm "good enough" for her son. My boyfriend says that this vibe stuff is all in my head and of course his mom likes me. I'm not sure what to think. So, I was wondering if there were any warning signs you knew of that pretty much shows if the mother likes you or can't stand you. Thanks! :o)

You're probably looking too deeply into things. Trust your boyfriend, I'm sure he knows how his Mom reacts around girls she doesn't particularly approve of. Instead of worrying about whether or not she likes you, concentrate on having as good of a relationship with her as you do with her son. Sit and talk with her about anything, it doesn't even have to be about her son or your relationship with him. The best way to prove yourself to her is to communicate and let her know you're good for him.

You're worrying too much. What if she's like this with every girlfriend? Some mothers don't think any woman is good enough for their son, primarily because they didn't choose the woman. If that is the case, there's nothing you can do, so there's no reason to worry. The son will make the decision. All you need to worry about is whether or not HE likes you. Of course, make every effort to be nice to his mother.

I speak here from my own experience ... If you get this nagging feeling that she does not like you, then she probably doesn't. But that does not mean to say that you have to dislike her back. Just be yourself and be GENUINE. Be true when you do something and you will feel the change. Most moms are cautious about who their son dates, so just give it some time...she will eventually come around. - Rochelle

well, you could be right about her. the problem is, your boyfriend could be right about her too. there really is no clear solution, at least until you get a clear signal either way.
