Why do people say things with out any backing when it comes to islam?

People here seem to get things out of no where

They always accuse the pophet of things that they can't prove.
They always say the quran is false with out any good backing to support their argument

People are stubborn and ignorant. They would rather follow what they see on the news that SUPPORTS their cause then try and understand the truth.

I'm a Christian who has actually read parts of the Qur'an and the Hadiths and you don't see me sitting here bashing the religion. That's because I actually made an effort to be informed about something before talking about it. This is something that's far less often done then it should be.

You'll have to let me know what people say about this, I'm curious.

I've said before- people are thoughtless sometimes, and I'll say again, even Bush has supporters, and even the devil has worshippers. People are afraid of islam because islam eradicates stupidity and self indulgence- the two most relished traits amongst the nay-sayers. To the critic above- people never admit anything wrong about islam because there isn't any wrong in it. Hint, there is a mass of neurons and nerve endings in the top end of your body, there are many things you can do with it- but ummm, u should try to use it to think- it would really help you if u used it. Advice taken?

I always try and back up my claims with proof, and it usually doesn't make a difference because Muslims ignore it and go their own little way. Plus, I'm an ex-Muslim, which Muslims ALSO don't believe. I'm not some redeck brainwashed by the media. I know what I'm talking about.

Proof isn't a problem, I always find it. The problem is the Muslim mentality. Proof doesn't matter to them. They never admit anything is wrong with Islam.

Christians will not believe that Mohammed is a prophet or Islam is a "true" religion because both contradict the word of God, the bible. What you think is "true" may not be. No need to get all ruffled over it, you just have to realize that Christianity and Islam are opposed in their beliefs, it's as simple as that.

A lot of people hate any belief that is different from them. A lot of people are also angry about 9/11 and all of the terrorist acts that have been carried out by Islamic people.

I don't think many people are adccusing the prophet of anything they are just pointing out the fact that as of late many people who are connected to islam are trying to kill christians. Not all Muslims but a good number of them are....obviously.

Take a look at this quotation from the Koran: Sura 5:68 - Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law (Torah), the Gospel (Injeel), and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord."

Sura 29:46 To the Muslims Allah says, do not to question the authority of the scriptures of the Christians, saying, "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one"

Now, let's look at these:

Koran Surahs [4:155] (They incurred condemnation) for violating their covenant, rejecting GOD's revelations, killing the prophets unjustly, and for saying, "Our minds are made up!" In fact, GOD is the One who sealed their minds, due to their disbelief, and this is why they fail to believe, except rarely.

[4:156] (They are condemned) for disbelieving and uttering about Mary a gross lie.

[4:157] And for claiming that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of GOD. In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him - they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him.

[4:158] Instead, GOD raised him to Him; GOD is Almighty, Most Wise.

This is what it says about the Jews : Koran Surah [4:160] Due to their transgressions, we prohibited for the Jews good foods that used to be lawful for them; also for consistently repelling from the path of GOD.

[4:161] And for practicing usury, which was forbidden, and for consuming the people's money illicitly. We have prepared for the disbelievers among them painful retribution.

The first set is belied by the other!?!?

I think you are wrongly singling out Islam. People talk out their tail-ends on just about every subject under the sun on Yahoo Answers including Christianity, Philosophy, Medicine, Pets, etc.

You name it, someone has an uninformed opinion about it, and they are more than willing to share it with the rest of us.
