ok my husband is in basic training he left november 28 so he was really only paid one time for december on the 15th so what do i do about taxes will they still require him to file and if so how will i get the info for us to file please help me i have my info and i would like to file!!! thanks, a loving air force wife

if he's in training, his Basic Combat Training unit will have everyone go through the on-post free tax site to get it done.

If not, and you have access to his W-2, you can use militaryOnesource.

If he is finished before taxes are due then he will be able to file if you have to do it you need a POA (power of attorney) I know this is not related to the question just thought you might need to know

Please contact someone in the tax field who deals with the military. When I was in boot camp I never worried about I and I think the DIs will help him...but definatly ask I dont think his income is enough to affect you..

You file with whatever is listed on his w2 (which you can pull up on the my pay website on or after Jan 22nd)
