1. A corporate plan for 15 years should be for the improvemnt in the areas of imporving roads, policy for purchase of new vehicles, proper replacement policy for assets, improved facilities in transports, for commuters and user friendly for the operators.
2. Government policy in supportive systems and mutual help by various transport system existing and those getting introduced.
3. Policy in fuel areas and priorotise transport systems.
4. Improvement of roads and metro system operation.
5. Replacement of assets to follow to bring in updated technology and also rehabilitation programmes for transport.

mmh general question but tk mine as an imp answer. Public transport as we all knw is in hands of Govt how to improve its upto them so we cant do much in that. But there are certain pvt companies which r trying to make life better for public commuters. If you r awarre of carpooling system which is not only working towards reducing traffic from the road but also into providing commuters a good way to travel. We should move towards building systems that address the pollution aspect too... For example, building extensive network of electric rail systems is a good solution. It would work for us from the population aspect as well. Most of our cities are not well-planned so laying wider roads is not an option there. We could go for 4 lane roads that connect inter-states and inter-cities.

Install monorails alongside present freeways, which are excellent locations.
The right of way is already established which means less disruption, and less work.
