May Day is used by Communist nations to promote their way of Life. In America, it is one of the most hated day. Not only because of its communist connotation, but that many who wish to overthrough the American government, has used it to promote their agenda and to initiate violence. Since the 50's it has become a day to show hatred towards America and its way of life. Immigrant support groups choose that day to hold protest. I personnally don't believe in coincidence. I also am divided on the immigration issue, since they do improve the economy, but they also lower wages . I doubt the majority of the immigrants know the significance of May day, but I do believe there are a few who should. I did check wikipedia on my facts and do understand that Western Europeans celebrate it as labor day but they still have a socialistic attitude towards this holiday. If you are not American, please state your nation of origin. For Americans, please state your immigration status.

They will have their days and we will have ourss.
The only difference will be the outrageous stupidity of the way they have held their days.
I hope Americans are conjoined in a positive way in June when the Anti movement comes together.
The current illegals approach has been highly anti American. If anyone who loves America but sees some reason why illegal should be here, they should watch the illegals do their thing. From what I have witnessed, it shows very little indication these people share or want to engage with us into the future as AMericans or proud citizens. I'm an American. I see mostly divission and us against you in there approach. This has nothing to do with our way of life either in balance or in effect. If allowed, it will suffocate our world ...and turn it into their darkish ways.

It always amazes me (I'm American born of foreign born Mother) how certain immigrants celebrate the country they came from. The reason they came to America, for many, was to find freedom and opportunity that was impossible to find or experience in the country they left. The children of the immigrants, when they visit the 'old' homeland are frequently shocked at what they see as a way of life. Immigrants should celebrate America on May Day. Or more appropriately, on July 4th. They should thank God that America exists for them to have escaped to.

Wonderful! Another day without Spanish yammering in the aisles at the grocery store, less traffic, no illegal immigrants driving crazy on the roads, no mariachi music from across the street, ~maybe I can hear the breeze for a change. Another day for them to put a few more nails in their coffin. Let's see how many of their flags they'll fly this time. This should be interesting.

Illegal aliens don't contribute squat to our economy. They cost more than they pay into it. Very few pay any taxes and those get back more than they paid in with Earned Income Tax Credit. They send their money OUT of our country, taking revenue from the USA forever. I'm a proud native born AMERICAN, I'm also a proud Native American.

i think of the important element that everybody is lacking right here is that Mizzou is a publicly funded college, which skill tax funds are used to fund the college and pay professors' salaries. Any college that makes use of public money might desire to be apolitical. This professor for sure isn't. He might desire to be admonished; and if he persists in this habit he might desire to be fired. Now, if he presented extra suitable credit to pupils that attended the two anti-conflict and professional-conflict demonstrations interior the interest of furthering political debate that would desire to be superb.

I don't understand one thing about these protests. This is basically the illegals doing the job of investigating for the INS yet they won't send any representation to these protest to arrest them. How lazy can you be?

I remember the case of the older man who ran through a crowd of people and ended up killing ten. He blamed it on a stuck accelerator and his confusion on which pedal was which. He got house arrest for it because he is medically unfit to serve jail time. I beleive this would be a good day to let him out and let him drive a tank.

Ya know, if they want to get together and protest, so what? Where I draw the line is when I see them waving Mexican flags in LA. This isn't a Mexican issue it's an American issue, and if they're going to be waving that Mexican flag then they need to go back to that country. By the way, my heritage is Mexican. Once, when I was getting ready to take the Air Force Officers Exam, the tester, a young Air Force Captain, looked at my name and said "Is that Mexican?" I looked him squarely in the eye and said, "No. I't's American!" If you want to make it better, great, but if you don't...then DON"T SCREW WITH MY COUNTRY!

Born and raised in the USA. Here, we go to the polls to decide how "socialized" we want our economy to be.

Bear in mind, all freely elected governments are socialistic in nature, including the US. Socialism is essentially an economic theory that stresses everyone contribute according to ability and receive according to need.

In the US, you are taxed according to ability, based upon three measures of wealth, the value of what you own, what you buy, or what you earn. You get police protection, roads, welfare, etc. based upon need.

In the US, to prevent private companies from getting large enough to overthrow the government, it also controls monopolistic powers.

I think that immigrants should be allowed to hold a celebration but I think that illegal aliens have no rights at all. Yes, the criminals hate and fear Americans. That's why they hide and commit acts of violence.

Lets make the US illegal free in 2007
