does anybody know how to download/burn clips from a dvd on to you your computer

ok so im a little slow when it comes to doing this cause i cant figure out how to copy and extend it. every time i try to cjust copy it,it doesnt work.it just wont play.can some one explain how to do it for me.PLEASE!!!!Thanks

you actually copy the file and convert the extention to mpg.
