When I write a poem about my girlfriend, I'm sure I make her more beautiful than other would see her.

In my eyes she's perfection, the end of evolution, the sole purpose of creation and if they ever start cloning people, they should use her as a sample.

Now, the writers of the Bible think even higher of their God than I feel about my girlfriend. To me it makes perfect sense that they exaggerated their stories a bit, just as I do when I write about my girlfriend.

If I saw a few farmers on a boat with 2 cows, trying to save them from heavy rain, I could also invent a story about Noah's Ark, if I loved the dear God so much.

I wouldn't even blame the writers of the Bible for translating their love for God into stories that are slightly over the top. Really.

Oh exaggeration is not exactly the word I would use. Many of the stories of the Bible have been proven. For instance the Arc your trying to claim doesn't exist is actually resting in the top of the Russian mountains. Now how would a boat, roughly the size of a football Field, be put in the top of a mountain that is under hundreds of feet of snow year round!
If any thing important truths were lost from the Bible because the translater decided they weren't important, Many centuries after the works were actually written!
With that in mind, I believe the Bible to be true as far as it is translated correctly!

No exaggeration in the Bible. The Bible is written by people filled with the Holy Spirit of God, so therefore it is written by God. History books in school that are from mans mind are exaggerated, and you choose to believe them right?. Then why not believe something that is written by God.

Religions are exaggerated fairy tales with an addition of an angry god to make people threat and scare so that they can feel the discipline and feel of a religion.

You got it. Goliath's height, Noah's ark, Samson killing thousands with a jawbone, all that is fable/exaggeration.
