Yes, it's about time christianity proved itself and put their money where their mouth is. There are incredible riches held by churches while millions starve (but theur plight might be god teaching them a lesson (sarcasm)).
Ham was an Australian according to the report. He makes me ashamed to admit that we have that in common.

Museums are for information, learning, background. If you, those answering this question, anyone, is concerned about the starving, did you, do you, contribute an appreciable amount of money to such a cause? Do you contribute to the aid of those in your own area..homeless, addicts, ill,...I could go on, but you get the idea. Most Church's that I know of, give to mission projects. Some aid in helping food pantries, "Goodwill" style stores,. free counseling, have funds for those needing to pay medical, electric bills, etc. Yeah, maybe giving aid to those facing death IS more important but a museum (learning center) isn't such a bad thing either. In your own life, what's more important, a new car or food for the poor? Food for the poor or tickets to some recreational event? Furthering your own education or saving a starving persons life? Maybe we need to examine how WE OURSELVES spend our money. Where are our own priorities? How and where, for what, do we spend our money?? Do we give to the "museums" (figure of speech) of our own lives?

Ok, let's get into it. The WONDERFUL ATHEIST BILL GATES is the world's richest man at 40 billion. Divide that by 6 billion people and you get a one time 700 each.
Have fun with it. Won't even buy a year of feed on the McDonald's $1 menu.

Thanks for the link. I read it in incredulity.
It is so difficult to accept that there are so many stupid people running around with these lies ringing true in their heads and who are not committed to a home for the mentally deranged.
27 mill ... much better to spend it on something with value to society at large rather than perpetuate the myth.
Isn't it very noticeable that religious groups need to constantly advertise themselves whereas atheists just sit back and do nothing much but live their lives in freedom and happiness.
I despair for these people who follow these nutty ideas. It is pitiful in this 2007 - and very dangerous.

I think it is their right to use the money however they see fit. Who is to say they are not donating money to other causes as well?
It is good there will now be a museum that shows the truth according to the Bible. Remember, evolution is only a theory.

I guess they think if somone becomes a Christian because of the museum it wont matter if they die. They go to heaven. Thats why they convert ppl in countries where Christianity is illegal. They dont care what happens as long as somone is saved.

In that case, why don't we just stop building or expanding any and all museums. That would leave us many more millions to feed the poor. In fact, why don't we sell all museums everywhere and everything in them and then give all that money to the poor.

Keeping so many people brainwashed is an expensive task. Churches sink millions into hiding the facts every year.
