It can slow down during the cold months, but it doesn't stop.
It will also slow down growth from poor nutrition, and it breaks off easier so it seems like it's not growing.
Make sure you are eating well, and taking care of yourself. If your hair is dry and brittle, try getting an excellent conditioner, put a sufficient amount in your hair and sleep with it in. When you wash it out, your hair will be softer.

Yes, your hair can stop growing. You have a predestined length that you hair will grow. Once it reaches a certain length, the hair usually falls out, then a new hair will start to grow. Sorry, but this is science. It's why some girls can have hair down to their butts and others can't seem to get it past shoulder length, no matter what.

You can try to wash your hair 2 a week, to keep the healthy oils in it. And using a good shampoo, that is gentle. Plus try going to the salon for conditioning treatments. The way, in my opinion, to get strong healthy hair is to go to a salon. Whenever I go my hair doesn't break as much and just looks oh so much better.

uhhh... your hair will always keep growing. perhaps it has slowed down or like the person above stated, it may have reached a length that makes it seem like it is not growing. i suggest making sure you are getting enough nutrients & vitamins. eating fruits & vegetables along with some vitamins or supplements can boost the health & growth of your hair.

a lot of the time when your hair reaches a certain length, it just seems like its stuck at one length and it wont grow. it really is growing but you just cant notice it. make sure you're taking vitamins because that definitely helps!

convinced, that's achieveable. Genetically speaking, different people's hair is type of programmed to advance see you later and quit. some people's hair will improve very, very lengthy (previous their knees) and others have hair that would not get to that length.
