I am shy and am not very creative but i know who i want to ask i just can't find a way to do it. Please help me if you have any ideas!

Walk up and say "Do you want to dance?" and hold out your hand.
Not would you like to dance or mind if I can have this dance. This gives them the power, showing that you are weak. By saying it plain and simple . . . shows strength, and they will show some respect. Remember some will say no, but with the right attitude more will say yes and give you their hand.

"Excuse me, would you like to dance." seems to work pretty well.
Just keep good eye contact and don't slur your words or pretend like your asking but not really asking. Man up. If you think you're going to feel destroyed every time a gal turns you down - get some support - someone you can talk to about feeling destroyed or whatever comes up in your shyness. Then go do it again. Baby steps. And as the movie said "Say Anything!" :-)

ok. all u have to do is just walk up to her and ask her if she wants to go to the dance with u. nothing special. so it might go like this:
u: "are u doing anything" and then put in the day of the dance
her: "no"
u: "well would u want to go to the dance with me?"
her: "yeah, sure! that sounds great!"
and that's all. short and simple.

flat out..especially if your shy..i love it when the shy guys ask me its so awesome because then you know that they really like you. if you like her get the guts and go for it its the best way...i know its hard but ya just gotta do it. just say hey i love this song come dance with me or something like that...whatever you style is..thats the best way

"Would you like to go to the dance with me?" It's a simple question and don't worry if the first girl on your list doesn't want to go with you, try someone else. besides, the first girl might not find anyone to go with so she may change her mind and go with you!:D hope this helps! :)

there is only one way to ask a girl to dance and is to walk straight to where the girl is and look straight to her eyes and ask her, nothing to it after you do this a couple of times

I would just go up to her and ask to whatever dance you're going to. It seems to usually work. Unless she hates you.

just ask it may be worth your while just be calm dont studder and
if she does say no just say thank you [be nice and kind it couldnt hurt and some of them like a kind person and polite and maybe they will change their mind who knows
