his best friend's death?

okay. so my boyfriend and i have known each other for six or so years and we did gymnastics together. well his best friend died at a competition(also one of my pretty close friends). well his three year anniversary is coming up soon, and im not really sure what to do for him? any help would be appreciated!thanks!

Hmm tough one maybe just be ready if he wants to talk about it but if it was me i just would let it go unless he mentions it
