Hang on to what you have for as long as you can!! Being an adult doesn't mean that you're free to do anything. In fact the obligation and responsibility get worse as you get older. Instead of going to school and staying there for 8 hours a day, you go to work... you can't miss work as you have to pay for a car, gas, food and other bills. If you have attended college and your parents are not able to pay for most of your education, you WILL have massive student loan payments. You have to pay for health insurance, cell phone bills, pay rent or a mortgage and pay for insurance on your car and your home. If you get married (or not) and have a child, you have to pay for your clothes, their clothes and food, day care, maybe a private school..... This doesn't end here and really is only the tip of the iceberg in regard to being a productive adult in the U.S. If I had a choice of looking lame because mom and dad drive me everywhere when I was 13 or taking on the responsibility of being independent I would still choose to be independent. Taking life too seriously and not balancing work and recreation is why so many people sometimes feel like they would want to be young again.
I know this is a long, somewhat boring and possibly frightening answer, but in 10 years from now, look back and say that guy was right, I wish I could be 13 again. :-)
Your parents care about you, that's why they ask so many questions, you're not feeling anything that most people haven't felt at the same age.

I felt the same way you do right now when I was your age, I'm now 33. I wish I could turn back time. So many people in my family have died, best friend was killed last year in a car wreck due to a drunken driver crossing the center line, my Dad and emergency heart surgery.....life was so much simpler when I was 13. Yes, I do wish I was young again. Be glad your parents are driving you everywhere, look at all the missing people nowadays, your the smart and safe one. And as far as them wanting to know where your at, you must really have great parents. They're not annoying, they're loving and caring and a lot of todays teens aren't lucky enough to have parents like that. Respect them, they care. And believe me, when I turned 18 time really flew by fast, tooooooooo fast. Cherish your family you have, cherish your friends you have, I've lost both. I didn't get enough time with any of mine. And even when your an adult you cannot always do whatever you want. It takes a lot of money to live once you become an adult, most people it takes everything they can make to just pay they're bills, groceries and car expenses. Your time will come, but stop rushing. Enjoy having caring folks and being a young lady, life is hard once you become an adult, so enjoy it now like you should be doing. I have a son who is almost 11, and he thinks growing up is so easy. After we've showed him everything we have to do and pay every week, now he wants to live at home with us forever!! (which would be fine also) Your time will go fast enough, trust me, go enjoy being 13 though for now, and listen to your parents so your staying safe. Take care.

well i don't with i was 13 again but i do wish i had the good times from high school all over again...without the actually school part. there's no freedom being older. I'm 22 and i work 50-60 hours a week depending on whats going on. if I'm not working then I'm working on my house, being with my wife taking care of my dogs. there's not to much for the fun stuff your talking about. but there's still fun. you have plenty of time to grow up. when i was a freshman in high school one of the seniors told me that its going to go quick....he wasn't lying...it did and now Ive been out of school for 5 years already!

this is probably the smartest question i have seen to date.
The truth is everybody has been your age and has felt exactly the same way you feel right now. All the things that you think are so cool, are way overrated. You will have alot of time in your life to enjoy yourself and to mature enough to handle those circumstances that will come. Your parents are looking out for you by trying to keep you occupied and out of trouble.
The reason we wish that we could be young again is so that we could do it the way we are telling you to do it now.

Being an adult is wanting to be a kid again cause you don't have to work and pay bills and you actually have money when you are a kid.

yeah ... life as an adult is really cool .....
- you get to work at a job you probably do not like
- you have to work even if you do not want to (even if you feel lousy that day)
- about 30% of what you make goes to the government for taxes (that means that 30 cents of each dollar you earn at work you will NEVER see because it goes straight to the government, babe)
- you get to pay bills (car payments ... stuff like that ... very boring)
- you get to pay for insurance (even more boring)
- you get to pay for your kids medical bills
- you get to drive your 13 year old around .... a thankless job for most adults
when you are 13 you are already RETIRED, but you do not know it.
"RETIRED" .... it means you do not have to work, and you can PLAY [basically] whenever you want ..... does that sound boring?
better enjoy it while you can ... cuz it aint gonna last forever, sweetheart .... hmmmmmmmmm ... lets see .... you are 13 .... so that means ..... you have 5 summers before you will need to either go to college ... or go get a job ....
enjoy your youth ....... YES ... many of us adults DO WISH we could be young again .... if we could do it all again we would make sure to enjoy our teenage years .... instead of complain about it
I probably sound kinda perturbed, huh? Ok .. ok ... ok .... maybe so ...... sorry about that, ok?
sorry you are bored sometimes .... just enjoy the freedom you have while you can ... that is my advice ... for what it is worth ....

The best part of being an adult is that you spell correctly and you don't think it's cool to spell like an idiot on purpose...
