I have sometimes vertigo. it is dizziness -- serious issue. unfortunately not a happy issue. (ignore people who say it is a happy state.) not many docs know the real problem. it might come from an ear infection or problem or for no reason that the doc and you can explain. there are some physical exercises you can do to help alleviate the problem. lying on your side --right and left in a 45 degree position. exercises you repeat for a good number of times and days. sometimes doctors talk about meniere disease but they can not ascertain and pinpoint exact cause and effect. some food supplements could help too. I am still in the trial stage of what works best. no stress, please, no sharp ups from the bed. plenty of pillows for head rest. etc. etc. do read plenty about the issue on the Internet. PS. i gave all this advice as if you are affected. I do care, since I know what it means and how it feels. hope it does help.

A dizziness caused by a phobia. At least that is what John "Scottie" Ferguson (Jimmy Stewart) had in the Alfred Hitchcock classic "Vertigo" (1958).

The movie is a good way to learn about some of the causes of Vertigo. Better than reading a bunch of boring medical information, LOL. --- It's an excellent movie too!! Kim Novak is great as Madeleine Elster/Judy Barton!!

the only kind of vertigo that I know anything about is when you are driving a car and you stop the car but you seem like you are still moving. It feels so weird.

vertigo is severe dizzyness not associated with feeling happy but rather fear and anxiety. it can happen during or after a traumatic event, during panic attacks and even during normal daily activities. sometimes it just happens when one's blood sugar is low or high, or when very tired.
