Unfortunately, now people will not take the statistics seriously and the masses will disregaurd the movie. I am not a fan of his, but I listen to the message of global warming and am concerned. How do you feel?

Because, unfortunately, global warming has become politicized... because *some* people seem to think that global warming is some sort of vast left-wing conspiracy, and those who seem to think that tend to be of a particular political orientation.

Well, Al Gore is a politician, so it couldn't help but be somewhat political. It does kind of take credibility away from the argument to have a former Democratic presidential candidate be the mouthpiece.

I didn't watch the movie, but I read the book. A lot of the things in it are factual, but just as much is exaggerated or just plain wrong. About the time that it came out, several prominent scientists did critiques of it. The consensus seemed to be that they got the ideas behind the science mostly right and that it did a good job of stressing the importance of the issue, even if it had some scientific errors. Keep in mind, most scientists are left-leaning, so they will be less likely to complain about the left-leaning politics of the movie/book.

listen to how Bush DENIES IT...the whole thing is completely political, if you don't make it political, the people won't react....make like the abortion issue is today, or the gun lobby....people need to react on all levels
