Kinda the same reason people use Yahoo Answers. It help get a general consensus of opionion. Just because people buy the book doesn't mean they are going to follow it. I did, and use it as a guidance....what to expect, ideas, what is normal...things like that. Doesn't mean you have to do what the book says or that the book is right, it is just like asking another person's opinion.

I tell people that I like parenting books, not to "learn how to be a parent" but to learn what to expect from parenthood. Example: I wouldn't know how much to feed my baby, when, and what to feed him when he started solids at 4 months. Little tips and facts are important, because some of us don't know any mothers to ask about this stuff.

I would like to find one that would quote appropriate resources and laws pertaining to the area that I live in. Something specific to my country, province, city etc, quoting the various levels of governmental policies and laws, including city bylaws, if applicable. Quote websites that are relevant to me and to where I live. Where can I find various products in MY area.
