I had to go to a meeting w/ my supervisor and the head of human resources. There was an incident at work that really upset me and I was very emotionally upset and my co-worker called our supervisor and told her That I was upset and what had happened to make me upset. My supervisor told my co-worker that if I wanted too, I could go home, so I did. Now my supervisor is saying that she never gave me permission to leave and that I just walked out. She sat right beside me and lied and told human resources that I walked out on my shift. I was suspeneded without pay for a week. Tommorrow I have to meet with them and find out if I am FIRED! What would you do if you were me? What If I am not fired, how do I work with someone who lied and try to ruin my medical career?

I say this in the most respectable and honest way possible but-- I believe that your supervisor, and or co-worker, actually wanted you to leave and get you fired. First off, it would fit into any personal revenge they have for you (if any), and secondly, they wouldn't need to give you a week's pay, which saves them some money. If you have any proof at all for them telling you this, or any witness at all around when they told you that you could leave, I believe the best way to resolve this is by presenting the proof in the most professional way possible. I don't think yelling or accusing will help with this matter at all, because, unfortunately they have the power of position over you. Or, if you don't get fired, fight back professionally and out-rank them! Get them to *cough* stfu *cough* and let them know that you're not going to go into ruins because of their pathetically cheap attempts.

Sorry to hear this btw, I hope it works out for you. Good luck! d(^-^d )

I would try and have a private meeting with your human resource person or his/her superior even. If this is a single incident, you should let your previous history speak for itself, and tell them that. Also, you should tell them what "really" happended and NOT tell them your supervisor lied. That just yells immaturity IMO. Slinging your accusor doesn't present you in any better a light. Just tell them you were going though a very emotional and hard time and that if they choose to overlook it you will find more constructive ways to handle your problems in the future.

Also, this not question not really in the right category. But glad to answer it anyways. Good Luck!

Have your co-worker vouch for you and go on with your work as if the incident didn't happen. If by chance you are fired go to the main boss and explain to him what really happened. If your supervisor has been there long enough she has probably been caught in enough lies to hang herself.

If you know you are correct..stick to your guns!!

Tell whoever is the head of Human Resources what you have told us..but in more detail. Try to be Dispassionate...but tell the truth.

If you must work closely with somebody who lied to you..be respectful and polite....but do not trust or believe anything they say. ..and stay away from them as much as possible.

Good Luck!!
