Jesus (supposedly) said that with faith the size of a mustard seed, one could tell a mountain to move and it would (paraphrase). Which Christians here have done this? If you cannot, can you really believe you have much faith?

Faith doesn't move mountains, it levels buildings, eg. 9/11.

What the bible says, is that if you have enough faith, you can move mountains. Not everyone has that kind of faith. Only very few people in history have been blessed with that, and with that faith, I am sure they put it to much better use than moving mountains.

It was a metaphore. Broken down, it basically means that even if you have very little Faith, you can still accomplish great things. For example (and yes I know this is in the Old Testament), the story of Gideon. If you're interested check out Judges 6 and 7. It's actually a pretty cool story. <><

I've never moved a mountain, but I've focused on some near impossible things and fought to remove all doubt and it happened. Such as I had a leaky roof, and had faith that it would be fixed despite the lack of money for it. Within days, someone left a flyer for roofing. I called for a price, and he offered to fix for free for the advertising.

I believe with our limited minds we haven't the ability to do much of anything...

But that will all change when we get to our Eternal home.

God Bless & keep the Faith !

The mountain is your hang-up, whatever that is.

To a smoker, his addiction is a mountain.

To a sinner, (Christian or not) his inability to forgive others for their mistakes is a "Hell" of a hang-up. Why?

Grab this:

Jesus told us, "Forgive others for their mistakes. If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you".

To Christians, that means they can scream "Lord, Lord, Jesus is my Savior", but it will do them no good if they hold grudges.

Specifically, God will not forgive them and they will not go to Heaven.

Jesus' words ------ not mine.

Yeah, me and my buddies get together every Sunday to move a mountain or two. We've only moved Everest a couple of millimeters, but it's something!

I have. You fail to understand that a molehill to you can be a mountain to someone else my friend. God expects us to use common sense in all things.
