I have the WORST toothache ever! I can't get into the dentist for 3 more days, I've been taking antibiotics but the toothache is still there. Help please! I'm ready to yank it out myself! I've been using the OTC products, they work for maybe 10 minutes, then its THROBBING again. This is this FIRST cavity I've ever had and I never, ever, want another one!

use ice, if it doesnt work, go to walgreens or a local drugstore and buy some painkillers or numb it. best way to get rid of the pain for the next 3 days is knock urself out into hibernation to pass the time. hope it helps :D

If you go to the E.R. they will give a three day dose of Tylenol 3 or some kind of pain killers to last while you wait for the dentist. You can also find a 24 hour emergency dentist will see you right away so you don't have to wait.

Can you put an icepack on the outside of your cheek over where the bad tooth is. Maybe that will help calm it down a little.
Have you ask the pharmacist what to do? Maybe they can give you something that is better than the stuff you have been trying.
Have you called your dentist office and asked them what to do for the pain? Maybe they can call in a script for you.

I don't know what you can do that you're not already doing. It seems like the dentist could work you in if you're in so much pain. Have you tried another dentist??
