I think any age is good. If your possesions are valuable to you or there is a certain way you want your body to be disposed of, you should have a living will and update it as you gain personal possesions and money

It depends on what kind of possessions you have, what kind of responsibilities, how many people are dependant on you. I am 38 but I am single, have two cats and my only family member is my mom. I have enough to live on but I don't have any major assets either, and I don't care what they do with my body when I'm dead. Maybe when my mom's dead I'll make a will to make sure that if I die in an accident & can't make arrangements myself, any pets I leave behind will be found a good home rather than be dumped at the nearest shelter, but otherwise I don't worry much about what'll happen to my stuff.

i personally think that you write your will when you have something to put in your will that's worth putting in there. Now if you live with your parents, then you can't really write a will, because it wouldn't exactly make sense. Now if you own a car, house, business, lots of money, expensive jewelry, etc. you probably should. I think that most people have this kind of stuff, by the time they're two to three years out of college...unless of course they're still living with their parents.
If your parents live with YOU...that's a different story...LOL :-]

I don't think age matters, but your circumstances. If you have a partner/family, valuable possessions or have certain wishes about your funeral, then it's a good idea to write a will. If you don't have a family or anything valuable and are not too concerned about your funeral (or are sure that your family knows and respects your wishes already) then there's no need for a will yet.

I wrote my first one at 19. I have updated it several times. I'm not planning on dying any time soon but it will be easier for my family if they know the specifics in the end.

As soon as you are an independant adult with any valuables, is a good idea, but for certain when you have kids.
