I would recommend that you use dry mouth products at home. Biotene has a toothpaste, mouthwash, gum, spray and gel by Oral Balance that help build the enzymes in your saliva to protect your teeth and gums better. These are available at any drugstore.

Sensodyne also came out with new products called Oasis that help add moisture to your mouth. I know they at least have a mouthwash and spray that I have personally tried for my medication induced dry mouth. Also available at drug stores.

Also I would increase your fluoride intake to prevent further decay. You can use ACT rinse which is available over the counter or have your dentist prescribe a stronger paste or rinse.

Chewing gum will also increase your salivary flow....but make sure that it is sugar-free. Absolutely do not suck on sugar candy, cough drops or use sugar gum. This will only increse your decay problem.

Hope that helps.

Surely the dentist would be able to fill some of the teeth to save them, i would definitely get another opinion. At 2 years old and loosing all their teeth means they'll be toothless for 4 years and this could effect the eruption position of the adult teeth. Eating would also be very difficult although the gums will harden after time, this would make the eruption of the adult teeth very painful. Get a second opinion asap.

yes chew sugar free gum. have water and other drinks near you to sip. brush your teeth more often then normal.
the pharmacy has a kind of gum that is for this problem but it is expensive .
don't go for candy or sugar gums to suck on as that will make it much worse.
