yes! Jesus explains in the book of Matthew in the Sermon and the Mount that if you even have one lustful thought about a woman its adultery. all are sins against God, therefore God sees them all the same. No matter if you lie or commit murder your both as equally guilty as another.

In that same book of Matthew quoted above, Jesus says all sins can be forgiven, even blaspheming against the Son of Man, tho not against the Holy Spirit, that's less likely to be forgiven.
So, no, not all sins are the same.
But, it's the getting forgiven that matters. And according to Jesus, except for that one confusing passage in the book of John, it's just not that hard.

The ancient Vedic Scriptures of India state that all sins are bad but they cannot be equal in terms of the reactions.
There are minor and major sins and the punishment is given accordingly.
For example the scriptures describe that there are various levels of hellish planets and the type of punishment there depends on the type of sins one commits.

No, if you kill someone that's a bad sin. Not only will you burn in Hell you will rot as well.
If you only commit fornication, that's not so bad. In fact, if you've been saved in the Baptist church you've already been forgiven of all those kind of sins.
Baptists can sin and still go to Heaven. That's cause they made a special deal with Jesus wherein if he knows you believe in him then sinning is not so serious.
You still can't kill, though.

sis is sin, yes, but the gravity of the sins depend on consequences of the sins committed and therefore must be answered by the person who had sinned.

I’ve had Christians explain it this way before, yes. Then they wonder why I am horrified that they think that a man who commits a rape/murder is the same as a little boy who curses for the first time (and/or takes the Christian god’s name in vain). Doesn’t transfer over though. They think its okay to execute felons, but not okay to abort. No consistency.

Spiritually yes they are the same.
Worldly speaking, there are different punishments and results of sins.
